A donation

Conner finished his knitted hat and on Sunday gave it to the RS president to donate. He was so happy and I was so proud of him for working so hard and finishing it!!

Brent and I baked cream puffs this weekend to give to some families in the Ward. They turned out really good!

I had some very ripe bananas that I did not want to waste so I made banana bread for the sisters that I visit teach.

My family

Here is our new family picture, Thank you Shari! I think we look great! I can believe our family is growing so fast and soon we will have one more granddaughter join our family. I am so thankful for my family. I love them all so much!!! I love the relationship I have now with my girls it is so fun now that they are older. I always felt I was missing out for not having a sister but now I don't feel that way, I have three daughters!! I love my boys, they are good boys. Our home life is different with boys, we truly have a different family now, raising boys. I love my two sons in law, they are hardworking, awesome men!! And what can I say about Brinley and Ronan, MY GOSH, I LOVE THEM!!!!!

Conner is a funny kid!

Conner is a funny kid! The other day he wanted me to teach him how to use the loom so that he could make a hat. Well here he is working on his hat, I told him that when he is done we can donate it.

Yesterday he kept asking me to take a picture of captain America, he got it from the treasure box at school.

Here he is reading before at bedtime. He loves captain underpants books!

Yesterday as we got in the car to go to school, he said to me: " mom I want you to have a baby boy so I can have a little brother". It was so funny, to him it is so easy to ask ok mom just have a baby. I had to explain to him that I could not, I said I was too old now to have a baby, that the baby could have health problems! YES I am too old to have a baby BUT I DON"T feel old yet, OK!!!!

Gingerbread house

Sister JoAnn Peterson in our Ward, brought us a gingerbread house on Sunday as a gift. Her mother in-law who is 80 years old, makes them. It makes her happy to make these and give them as gifts. She makes everything by hand, except the candy and pretzels of course.

It is so pretty I felt bad letting the kids eat it!

Poor Parker has two big canker sores and can't smile!

The candy inside the house.

The kids were being silly!

This is what was left of the house, when the kids finished!

The Festival of the Nativity

We had a wonderful time at the Festival of the Nativity this year. Brent and I were asked to be hosts and I really enjoyed it. A lady came in and she told me that she was just driving by and saw the big sign in front of the chapel about the Festival. She went out to get her friend who was in the car and then came back and I took her to the missionaries. She then wanted to know about the Orlando Temple which is in front of the chapel. She wanted to know if it was the same church. I went and got Brother Hertzog who does the tours of the temple grounds and he spoke with her and gave her a card about the temple tours. It was just awesome to see her ask those questions and it was just because she felt impressed to come in and see what was going on! Her friend was not as excited, I think he kind of felt out of place, he had long hair and tattoos. After they went in the cultural hall to see the nativities, she wanted to go in the chapel to enjoy the program but he went in and stepped right out and wanted to leave. I felt bad for him.

Doing our part!

We have a couple in our Ward who are deaf and mute. They have a little baby that can hear so instead of going to the Ward for the hearing impaired they come to ours so that their baby can be exposed to sounds. On Sunday I happened to look over to where Sister Aragon was sitting during the Sacrament hymn and she was signing the song. She could not hear the organ or the people singing but she was singing with her hands. I thought about that and how she was doing her part, she was feeling the spirit in her own way. She was reading the words of the hymn and signing them. I got goosebumps thinking about that, it just made me feel good inside! I have always wished that I could have a better singing voice, I should just be thankful for what I can do, which is to do the best that I can with what I have been given, that is after all what she does. She is an awesome lady.

Parker's school Project

For chemistry Parker was asked to make a mole. I helped only a little bit because he had never used a sewing machine, but he did almost all of it by himself.

The finished mole. He made it extra long and put hair on it! He said it looked like Shamu, but was very happy how it turned out. He did a great job.

My friend Sister Ocasio asked me to make her an ornament, she said that it had to represent "me". I thought about it and since I am into crocheting I thought I would crochet a snowflake. I have never done it so I looked at Youtube for instructions. I made one but then I had to make another one for me! They have many mistakes, but you can't really tell.
