Today was a crazy day at church. At around 3:00 PM while we were having singing time in Primary, we had to be evacuated from the building. They had a problem with one of the bathrooms and sewage was coming up from the floor, gross!! I have to admit that I don't like having church so late and coming home an hour early was nice.
A while back I was reading an article in the December 2010 Ensign and I really liked this quote: "I finally stepped out of the shadows because my feelings of self-worth did not depend upon social standing, money, or opinions of others. My self-worth depends upon the Lord, and knowing that has set me free to create my own happiness."

Fruit Basket
Today as I was folding laundry there was a knock on the door and it was a delivery guy bringing us a fruit basket. My visiting teaching companion sent it to us, as a thank you for letting her use our van for a couple of weeks while her car was being fixed.

Brinley is so funny she loves to eat and when she sees that you are eating she throws her pacifier on the floor and opens her mouth for you to feed her. Today Parker was having a hamburger and she really wanted a bite!!

Challenger Space Shuttle Crash
Twenty five years ago was the Challenger disaster. What was I doing at the time? I was living in Riverside, California. Ashley was one month old and I was sitting on the couch nursing her when I saw it on TV. I was in shock!! My parents were visiting from Puerto Rico. Twenty five years is a long time, and it went by so fast.
Field Trip to Winter Garden
Today Conner's class went on a field trip of the Winter Garden National Historic business district. We visited the Heritage Museum and the Central Florida Railroad museum where they had a tour and did some activities, a scavenger hunt and Citizen Heroes presentation. They also had a map adventure where they walked along the West Orange Trail in the historic downtown. Each student got a picture of a building and as they walked they were to find them and put them on a map. After the guided tours we went to a nearby park to have lunch and to let the kids play at the park.

Citrus labels

It is funny because growing up my mom had the same set of pitcher and glasses. I guess it was very common in the 70's

This is a picture of the West Orange High School band from a long time ago. Conner's teacher is in this picture!! I did not catch what year it was but I know that she is older than me, I think she might be 50 or older, so this picture was taken a long time ago. It was unfortunate that I could not hear what the tour guide was saying because one of the kids in my group was very hyper and I had to constantly watch him to make sure he wasn't getting into trouble.

Our new office
Zarate's wedding
I visit teach sister Zarate and she asked me to help decorate for her daughter's wedding on Saturday. I love the color, it turned out very pretty. The reception was a lot of fun, they had music and dancing. Brent was sick and could not come, but I got to dance a song with Bronson. He loves to dance as much as I do.

Now WHAT!!!
On Thursday I had my physical exam (which I do every 6 months). I thought everything was fine until my doctor said, while listening to my heart, "I hear an extra heartbeat". GREAT, now I have an extra heartbeat. So I had an EKG done in his office and everything looked great! But he still wanted to do more tests. So on Saturday at the hospital I had an Echocardiogram, which uses ultrasound, it was pretty cool to see my heart on the monitor. I won't know the results for about a week. He also wanted me to have a Holter monitor for 24 hours so I went and got that done today. I feel like a Christmas tree with all this stuff on, but I think it will be good to have it checked not just for the extra heartbeat, he also is looking at my very low blood pressure (80/60 on Thursday) and how it might have something to do with being dizzy. Lucky for me I get all this stuff taken off first thing in the morning. I am so sick and tired of going to the doctor's office. I am so glad I decided to start exercising 19 years ago because I bet that is why I feel strong and able to fight all the weird stuff I have.
