What we have been up to!

On May 7th was our 26th wedding anniversary.  I am so blessed to be married to my best friend! We love being together, we do everything together. We feel so blessed to have each other!

I had a wonderful Mother's day.

At Alison's work they were handing free flowers so she gave them to me!

Flowers from Brent

Conner's chorus concert.  He has always loved to sing.

There is a blueberry farm right by our house and Conner and I had fun picking blueberries.  The only thing was that I did not realize that it was such hard work and my back hurt for days afterwards.

Happy Birthday Alison! She is 23 years old!! Wow time goes so fast. It was just yesterday that we took this picture when she was a baby!!

Gelato for the birthday girl.

Conner and I had our piano recital yesterday. I always get so nervous but it is good for me to face my fears, I am actually getting much better and people have noticed because they have told me!  Conner did awesome as always, he doesn't get nervous!!

Parker's prom!!! Oh my goodness I can't believe he is graduating in a couple of weeks!! How can this be!!! My baby can't be graduating from HS??? It is impossible!

His graduation invitation.

Conner, my artist

Every year at Conner's school they have a display of their art, the school's art show.  It is fun to see what the kids have done in their art class.  Their paintings look so good when framed.  Parents have the option to purchase the frame or just take the painting home. We always purchase the framed art.

I love my husband!

I read this post from a missionary.

"There is a companionship we are over that is having some companionship problems. One of the sisters is on her last stretch and the other has quite a bit more time. They are both on different levels of obedience and lack of communications have caused some pretty sad circumstances.
My companion and I were talking in companionship study about them and wondering what we could do to help them when pure inspiration hit both of us. We have to be equally yoked. In any relationship we both have to be at 100% otherwise exhaustion and disappointment come. In your lives think about the relationships you have. Are you equally yoked? Are you and your husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, roommates, etc, equally yoked? Is one giving more and the other falling back? Or are you both contributing your all? If you're the one doing more of the pulling, help the other one. Don't get frustrated or angry with what they are contributing. Keep your sights set at where you're at but humble yourself enough to help the one struggling get to your point. Also, listen to them and see where they are coming from.
If you are the one being pulled, don't get discouraged! But keep on trying! Accept the help with humility and strive to get to that same level as your other half of the yoke. Then TOGETHER push forward through the muck of life. I promise that as you humble yourself and you care about the other and give your absolute, 100% blessings will come so fast and there is a whole lot less stress that will occur.
Life will be sweeter.

As I read this I was thinking about how this is so true.  Brent and my wedding anniversary is next week on the 7th. It will be 26 years!! I can't believe how fast it has gone!! I really have learned to be selfless. I have learned to give service, pretty much all day long I am giving him service. I take care of the kids, the house and many other things. He likewise is giving me service all day long. We both have given 100% to our marriage. We love being together.  It has always been difficult for me to go anywhere alone, I rather be with him.  We never get tired of each other. We support each other in everything, because we really are yoked together.  We are TOGETHER pushing forward.  We are not perfect and we have our disagreements. We have grown together over the years.  We have become one person, we think alike, we have the same goals and I love it! We center our lives in our Savior, and we made covenants in the temple that we honor.  Our marriage is forever.  I look forward to be with him for eternities.
