An experience with HONESTY

Conner is growing so fast that the suit pants I bought him for Parker's wedding last August are too tight. Yesterday I stopped by Burlington Coat factory and they had great suits at a very good price. I bought him a suit and a few other things and when I got home I looked at the receipt and noticed that I had not been charged for the suit top which was $69.99. I thought that what I had paid was a bit low but I was in a hurry when I left the store and didn't look at the receipt and just figured something had been on sale. I drove back to the store and brought everything I had bought with me and showed the cashier that the other lady had forgotten to charge me for the suit jacket. The lady looked at me stunned, like I was crazy and proceeded to scan the jacket. When she had finished and I had paid for it she looked at me and said "thank you for your honesty". I told her that I had to because I would have felt terrible with not paying for it.

In Proverbs 12:22 it says: "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight"

Being dishonest is harmful to us and others. It doesn't feel good. It drives away the Spirit of God. When you are honest we are blessed with peace of mind and self respect. Right after I went back to the store and paid for it, I felt good and I knew that Heavenly Father was pleased with me and proud of me.

Family visits are great!

It’s fun when we get to see family! Brent’s cousin Wendy and two of her kids were at our church meeting on December 30th 2018

Working out after the surgery

On January 1st I went on my first walk since the surgery, it had been 5 weeks since and it felt great to walk even if it was only 1 mile.

On January 9th exactly 6 weeks since I had the surgery I went back to Zumba!!! It felt so good to be back.

My Great-Uncle Carlos Sotomayor Thillet

My aunt Ana Sotomayor gave me this picture of her uncle and my mom's uncle, Carlos Sotomayor Thillet, brother of my grandfather Luis Sotomayor Thillet. Uncle Carlos dedicated it to his brother Pedro Sotomayor Thillet as you can see in the back. The date is July 21,1917, Carlos was 25 years old. What is interesting to me is that the photo is a postcard and the address of Uncle Pedro says Panama Canal. Uncle Pedro was a soldier and was stationed in Panama Canal. It belonged to the Puerto Rico Regiment of Infantry. This picture is 102 years old.

Ronan's special day: Baptism

Our grandson Ronan was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on December 22, 2018. It was a very special day! We are so proud of Ronan for deciding to be baptized and we are so happy we could be there to see him get baptized.
