2014 Summer vacation to Italy-Part 1

We had a wonderful time on our trip. We got to Milan and we were tired but had not time to rest. We left Orlando at 4:00 PM, Orlando time, on Thursday and got to Milan Friday afternoon. The Navigli Ward where Alison served during the last few months of her mission was having a cultural activity and we were invited to go.  We rented a car but to get around in Milan it is better to take public transportation so we took the subway over to the church.  It was wonderful meeting the people in the Navigli Ward. Then on Saturday we drove to Lake Como, it is beautiful!! We also walked around Milan and saw the Duomo.Saturday night we had dinner with the Rodriguez family, Alison helped reactivate the husband and the wife is getting ready to be baptized. On Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting at the Navigli Ward and Cimiano Ward. Alison served in both of those Wards. We had dinner at the Valladolid family home. Then on Sunday night we drove to Genoa and walked around a little that night and ate dinner at a very cute Italian restaurant in front of our hotel.  On Monday we went to Cinque Terre, an incredible place on earth!! It was so beautiful!!!

Sunday in Navigli Ward, the Elders. Anziano Brand, Adler and Orso

With the Stake President, President Dal Sotto

President Dal Sotto and his wife. We met their daughter and her family when they came to visit Orlando and just happen to come to our Ward for a few Sundays. I spoke with her then and she told me her dad was the Stake President. It just happened that when we went to the Cimiano Ward it was their Ward Conference and her parents were there!! I love coincidences like that. Their daughter Sister Poli is my friend on Facebook and I was able to share the pictures with her!

Awesome friends from the Cimiano Ward
