Update

Life gets kind of hectic with all the things we have going on. I did not take a picture of Conner on Sunday and I am bummed. He passed the Sacrament for the first time on Sunday April 24th!! He did a great job.
Conner had a cultural festival at school and his group had to do a report on Morocco.

Conner's last Court of Honor as an 11 year old Scout.

We celebrated Conner's birthday at Splitsville in Disney Springs.

My aunt Ana Sotomayor who is 101 and will be 102 years old in June, fell and broke her right hip. My brother sent me this picture, she had surgery and was able to sit and not even take painkillers post operation. She is amazing!

Elder Gillen's birthday was April 23rd and we had them for dinner. He turned 20 just like Parker did on the 15th. It made me miss Parker.

Conner is a Deacon

Today, April 17 2016 was a special day, Brent ordained Conner a Deacon and received the Aaronic Priesthood. Also today was our Ward Conference so Brent was asked to conduct by the Stake President, it is normal during Ward Conference to have the Bishop conduct, so during Sacrament meeting Brent had Conner stand so that the members would sustain Conner. What a wonderful day for Conner and for us!

Update

They are building a High School behind our house and recently a wall was put up all along the back of our community which includes our backyard. I am very happy to have a wall that we didn't have to pay for!!! I do miss the wide open space behind our house but I like the privacy the wall gives and not to mention that I feel safer to have the 9' wall since my house got broken into 3 years ago.

Conner went to his first ever General Priesthood Conference with Brent on April 2nd. His 12th birthday was 3 days away so he chose to go with dad. He loves being with dad.

I was working on my blogs while they went to the Priesthood conference so I decided to listen to it on the computer. I normally don't listen but I thought to do it since I was at the computer working, when I heard the name Eric Stauffer who was the choir director at the conference. Eric Stauffer served in our ward back in 1999.

Conner turned 12

On April 5th Conner turned 12 years old. We sang to him on Sunday the 3rd because Brent was leaving for his Miami trip.  Today we had Stake conference so next Sunday he will receive the Priesthood and then the next Sunday he can start passing the Sacrament. Conner is a very sweet boy (he is still my boy), he is obedient and wants to do what is right. He loves reading the scriptures and going to church. He loves family home evening and spending time with family, especially he loves his nieces and nephew.

He wanted another temple building blocks set, this time he got the Washington DC temple. This is a special temple to me because my family was sealed in this temple in 1975.

Update.

We are so busy these days that I have no energy to blog. Here is what has been going on in the Hanson home.

Easter

I love my new Easter dress.

I asked Conner to take our picture and he started taking pictures without me knowing lol

I forgot to take our family picture at church so Conner took our picture at home, plus Conner changed his suit right when we got home from church and did not wait the 2 hours for Brent to get home after church. I don't blame him, when I get home I want to get in my comfy clothes.

My very last package to Elder Parker Hanson. I am sad his mission is coming to an end in about 3 months but also excited to see him!

Getting a new suit.

Conner is turning 12 and needs a new suit to pass the Sacrament on Sundays. I can't believe he will be 12!
