Oreo the hedgehog and Random pictures

I am so blessed that where I am in my life right now I can go to the temple more often. It is true what they say that there is a season for everything. It is so wonderful to do the work for my ancestors.

Beautiful picture taken by a friend of mine.

I was at the Stake center one night and took this picture. The stake center is across the street from the temple.
This weekend Conner got to babysit Oreo the hedgehog from school. He has been talking about it for months and it was finally his turn. Oreo is so cute and very easy to take care of. Conner loves to hold her. He does a great job of taking care of her.

The other day Conner had his tennis lessons at the High School and as we were leaving I thought of looking to see if Parker's parking spot was still there and to my surprised it was. He painted it before he started his senior year, about August 2013 so I was surprised that it was still there.

Conner playing with his magnets is good thing. He has always had a difficult time playing by himself. One time when he was little, I told him to go play and his answer was "I don't know how".  So for me this is a wonderful thing to see him playing.

I loved watching Brent and Conner play chess. What makes it special is that this was Brent's Dad Bruce's chess set.

My Heavenly Father loves me!!

I have not been able to fast in a while because I have been sick with my bad headaches. Everytime I tried to fast I would end up in bed for the rest of Sunday after church. This past Sunday I decided that I needed to fast for Parker, the area where he is at is very difficult and no one wants to listen to the missionaries.  I have also been worried about Parker for some reason so I really needed to fast. I prayed that I would not get a headache while I fasted and that I would be able to finish my fast. Heavenly Father answered my prayer and I was able to fast without getting sick!! Today, two days after my fast, my phone rang and I did not recognize the number but since it was a Utah number I thought it might be someone I knew. I answered the phone and it was a sweet sister from Victoria, Argentina who lives in Utah.  This sister was visiting church in Victoria on Sunday and saw Parker. She asked him for our number and she promised him she would call me when she got back to Utah. She told me he is doing great and that he is a handsome young man!! I know this was Heavenly Father's way to let me know that He is watching over Parker. She sounded like an older lady, she was really sick in bed, she said the trip left her exhausted and she was calling me from her bed. I am so thankful that He answered my prayer and I was able to fast for him and that in return He blessed me with this sweet sister's phone call to tell me Parker was fine.

February:Surgery, Piano Federation and Valentine's Day

On February 4th I had surgery to remove uterine polyps. It all started out because I was having really bad periods and horrible headaches and it was also affecting my Menieres. I ended up in the ER one time because my headache was so bad nothing would stop it for three days straight and I had had enough. I called my ear and balance doctor trying to figure out why my ear was acting up and he agreed with me that it could be hormonal and that was causing me to retain fluid in my ear and making my Meniere's symptoms worse and he thought it would be good to see my gynecologist. I also went to see my primary doctor who referred me to a neurologist. The neurologist prescribed a medication which helped with the headache (thank goodness) but he suggested I went to my gynecologist also. I have great doctors that know how important it is to listen to their patients. I went to my gynecologist and she ordered a whole bunch of blood tests and an ultrasound of my uterus. The ultrasound revealed that I had polyps. My doctor told me that everything else in my tests looked good but the polyps needed to be taken out and sent to the lab to make sure they were benign. I had my surgery and had to wait two weeks for the result. I have to say I was a little scared, I was hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. My mom had breast cancer and leukemia so I know I have a chance of getting cancer so I need to be prepared. I take good care of myself, I exercise and eat super healthy, since I can not have too much salt, I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit and every year I have my pap and a mammogram. I was happy when the doctor told me everything turned out great and the polyps were benign. She said that polyps in the long run could turn cancerous. I am so thankful they found them now, had it not been for these headaches or for good doctors who knows what would have happened.

Getting blood work done a couple of days before my surgery and they put this wristband on that I had to have on until after the surgery

Ready to go
After I got the news that everything went great and the polyps were benign. I was happy!
