Great advice for bliss in marriages of all ages
1. If you think she's beautiful, tell her.
2. Make dinner together, eat dinner together, go to bed together.
3.Your fantasy life should revolve around your wife, not your football team.
4.Life is short, say "I love you" at least once every day.
5.The more time you spend trying to change your spouse, the less time you have for improving yourself.
6.Write this into your wedding vows: "I will promise to faithfully replace the toilet paper whenever I use the last of it."
7.Do things together. Do things apart.
8. Career, personal goals and family are important, but nothing is more important than your relationship.
9.If you've truly forgiven your spouse for something, you'll never bring it up again.
10. Be spontaneously ridiculous and unabashedly silly. Make your spouse laugh. It nourishes the soul.
11. Say, "What can I do for you honey?"
12.He is not a mind reader. If you want him to know what you're feeling, tell him.
13.If you make your kids the center of your universe, there's going to be one massive black hole when they finally grow up and leave.
14. If you always have to win the argument, you'll eventually lose the relationship.
15. Only if she asks:"No honey, that dress isn't very flattering."(Not, "It makes you look fat.")
16. Find someone to talk to about marriage, but never talk your spouse down to anyone.
17.She's your wife, not your mommy. Clean up after yourself.
18.Create your own holiday traditions.
19.Just because you now where someone's buttons are doesn't mean you have to push them.
20.And finally, to keep your marriage brimming with love, whenever you're wrong, admit it, whenever you are right, shut up.

Where has the time gone!!!!
Life is crazy these days!!! I feel bad that I have had no time to blog. I have been wanting to go to the beach this summer but we haven't been able to that either. We only have TWO Saturdays left before school starts and I am hoping to go to the beach on one of those days. Brent is in Miami this next few days and I just don't do anything when he is gone. I just don't have the desire or the energy, my life is on hold when he is gone, plus I am having a Menieres episode and I am not myself right now. I don't know if it was caused by the flu-mist I had on Thursday or if it is hormonal. I know that when I am hormonal it gets worst. I have been hormonal lately. I get very hot at night when I am sleeping, oh the joys of getting older!!!! The good thing is that when I have a night like that I loose 2 pounds, it never fails. It feels like I just exercised.
On Saturday after Conner's basketball game at the Y, I talked Brent into going to a kickboxing class with me. He has tried spinning with me before (years ago) but the seats on the bikes are no very comfortable. So he agreed and went with me. I felt that since this wasn't dancing and the moves are easy, that he could do it. Well, he did good!! I was surprised when he said he liked it. I am hoping that we can go again together soon.

I know something good about you!!!!
Wouldn't this old world be better,
If the folks we meet would say--
"I know something good about you!"
And treat us just that way?
Wouldn't it be fine and dandy
If each handclasp fond and true,
Carried with it this assurance-
"I know something good about you!"
Wouldn't life be lots more happy
If the good that's in us all
Were the only thing about us
That folks bothered to recall?
Wouldn't life be lots more happy
If we praise the good we see?
For there's such a lot of goodness
In the worst of you and me!
Wouldn't it be nice to practice
That fine way of thinking too?
You know something good about me,
And I know something good about you.

I was cleaning my church bag the other day, and found this cute handout I got a long time ago. I love poems and this one is awesome.
