We visited La Coruña in Galicia. This is the Castillo/Fortaleza de San Anton. Built around 1588 by King Felipe II. The lighthouse is called the Tower of Hercules, built in the 2nd century and renovated in 1792. The oldest Roman lighthouse in use today. My 4th great-grandmother Josefa Serafina Valverde Ferreiro was born here and she married my 4th ggfather Captain Bartolomé Lizon (whom I mentioned yesterday and is from Malaga) in Puerto Rico. I can’t help but think how far away from their home and family they were. Both of them died in Puerto Rico and are buried there
