Archivo General de Simancas. Founded in 1540 and located in the castle of Simancas, Province of Valladolid. The first official archive of the crown of Castile. It contains maps, treaties, supply lists and all types of written records. My 4th great-father was Captain Bartolomé Lizon from Malaga, Spain and his records are preserved here.
