Happy Halloween!!!

This year there was hardly anyone out trick or treating or handing out candy. It was sad. Even our next door neighbors who always have a party on their driveway, did not do anything this year. Our neighbors who are members of the church invited Parker to go to another neighborhood and he gladly accepted. Conner was happy with what he got.

Visiting Brittany and Bronson

Today we got to visit Brittany and Bronson. It was about a 45 minute drive to their apartment. They have done a good job with the apartment, it looks very cute. Today they were happy to get a washer and dryer.

Conner thought it was funny to take a picture of daddy asleep on the recliner. What is it with men and recliners.

Giving Brittany lots of kisses.

Bronson hooking up the dryer.

Bronson's brother Austin helped bring the washer and dryer to the apartment.

I love Fall!!!

My favorite time of the year is from Sept. 15 (my birthday) to January 1st.

I love it when it finally cools down and I can have good hair days.

I love it because the kids are so happy to get free candy on Halloween and I love to go through their stash and eat their chocolate candy when they are in school, and they don't even notice, haha.

I love it because everyone is just happy on Thanksgiving and I just love to eat turkey and mashed potatoes....and this year I even get to travel to Puerto Rico to eat turkey and mashed potatoes and some wonderful Puertorican food. I just love to eat, period.

I love Christmas!!!!! I love everything about it, happy children, the shopping, decorations, the smell of pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cinnamon, and if I lived in Utah, getting together with family, the snow, I would wear boots and a cute coat, but I don't so I just dream!!Someday my dream will come true!! Don't get me wrong I like it here, Florida has been good for us, and it has been fun living next door to Mickey Mouse, but ever since my first trip to Utah when I was 15 I fell in love with it and I knew that Utah is where I wanted to be. So I keep on dreaming.

I love the Disney fireworks on New Years Eve, we just go out in front of our house and look at them. I am actually sad and happy at the same time when we welcome the new year. Sad that my kids are going to be one year older and SAD that I am going to be a year older. Happy that we get another year to improve ourselves.

Here are my happy children, they decorated the house for Halloween and they did a WONDERFUL job!!!

Conner has an obsession with the camera. He wanted me to take his picture and he told me how he wanted me to take it.

Here he took my picture, I think he did a great job!!!

Here he is again taking pictures of himself, I think they are so funny!!!

Conner being goofy... Going to the Pumpkin Patch

Friday night I found Conner in the office taking pictures of himself. When I asked him what he was doing he said he was taking pictures of himself dancing. I think he did good at taking his own pictures.

Today we went to the Pumkin patch. It doesn't feel like fall though, it was 90 degrees outside.

Life these days

We have been asked a lot and people have made comments about how different our home life is these days. Yes, our home is different these days. We miss our girls, we knew that someday they would grow up and start their new lives away from home. It just seems like it happened so fast. We blinked and Ashley and Brittany got married and Alison went off to school. We are proud of them and are excited to see them grow and become the great women that we know they are capable of becoming. I love this picture, it was taken back in the spring of 1997 in Provo, Utah when the girls were taking ballet. We miss those days.

And this is what our home is like these days. Legos, blocks, cars, bionicles, all boy.

Family quote by Elder L. Tom Perry

"In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to make our families the center of our lives and the top of our priorities. . . ."We need to make our homes a place of refuge from the storm, which is increasing in intensity all about us. Even if the smallest openings are left unattended, negative influences can penetrate the very walls of our homes."
