Sunday January 19th

Today was such a wonderful Sunday. We had Ward conference and so our Stake leaders were there and we heard from our Stake President and our Bishop (Brent) and also attending our meeting was Sister Joy Jones General Primary President. Sister Jones is here on vacation. She spoke to us in Sacrament meeting and spent the rest of the meetings with us in Primary. She is so wonderful and loves the children so much!!! After church I took Conner to the temple to take pictures of him now that he is a Priest. Everyone there asked if he got his mission call and where he was going! I had to tell them that these were his pictures from being ordained a Priest. Also on one of the pictures you can see that there was a bald eagle perched up on the Angel Moroni’s trumpet!

Sister Joy Jones came to visit our ward while on vacation. She spoke in Sacrament meeting and told us how we must teach our children from the Book of Mormon and help them be strong so that they may be protected from the spiritual dangers of the world. She spent the time with us in Primary and sat with the kids and at the end they sang a song for her. She gave our primary presidency counsel after primary was done and expressed her gratitude for the service and work we're doing for the children and how important it is for them now and in the future. She said when the changes were happening in primary when it was only going to be an hour on Sundays, President Nelson and Elder and Sister Cook were concerned and asked that they not take away singing time, because it is very important.  They are working on a new children's songbook and it will be beautiful, she said, with songs that will teach gospel principles.

Donations for the Puerto Rico earthquake and Miss Universe Puerto Rico

Miss Universe Puerto Rico was holding a drive to collect items to send to Puerto Rico to help those affected by the earthquakes. I was wanting to donate items but I didn't know where to go donate until I found out that Madison Anderson Berrios, Miss Puerto Rico was collecting the donations. I know Madison from our church. We were in the same Ward, Windermere Ward for a few years. I know her mother and grandmother. While there I got to see them and also my friend Pito Rodriguez. She was interviewed by Artemio Mercado from Univision Orlando.

Conner was ordained a Priest

On January 5th Conner was ordained a Priest. We are so proud of him.

Happy New Year 2020

We took this selfie to remember the New Year. Conner had a great time celebrating with the youth at the Thompson's home. They all stayed up to ring in the New Year.  Brent brought me home before because I was too tired but we had a wonderful time at the Thompsons. I feel bad I didn't get a picture with Conner.
