Basketball

Conner is playing basketball again. He started a month ago but I haven't been able to go because the games have been at the same time as Parker's guitar lessons. I take him to practice and Brent takes him to his games. The game yesterday was early and so I was able to go. He does great he made like 5 baskets, they don't keep score at this age so it's only for fun and learning the rules of the game.

Brent is doing awesome with his diet and has lost about 30 pounds. I will be posting pictures soon.

Early Christmas present

We got an early Christmas present. We bought a new dining room table and I love it. Our old table which we had for 16 years, only had six chairs. The new table has 8 chairs, I would have loved 10 chairs because our family is getting bigger, but our dining room is too small for that many chairs.

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a very quiet and small Thanksgiving. It was interesting cooking without salt. I found a recipe for low sodium stuffing on line and it was really good. Then on Friday Brent, Bronson and Parker hit the stores early, 4:00 AM. They went to Sports Authority and got lucky and won a $500.00 cash card. They were handing out $10, $25, $50 and one $500 card to the first 85 customers in line at 5 AM. Parker got a bike and golf clubs.

Update

On Thursday I invited the sisters that I visit teach to have lunch at my house. I made a flan with pumpkin and cream cheese. It turned out so good, everyone loved it.

Lately all that Conner wants to do is write books. This is him writing another book.

On Friday I helped out in Conner's class. It was grandparents day at the school and only two grandparents from our classroom came. I guess everyone is like us that their grandparents don't live in town.

He got to make some Thanksgiving crafts, here he is making a friendship bracelet.

Finally!!

Finally after 3 months of waiting, my birth certificate arrived. Because of all the problems they are having with the Puertorican birth certificates, being sold in the black market for thousands of dollars and having people stealing our identities (because of our US citizenship and spanish names) the government decided that all of the puertorican birth certificates would not be valid as of July 1st, 2010. It was weird to not have a valid birth certificate. It is a good thing I did not need it during that time. When I went to renew my drivers license in September, I was able to use my passport. Good thing I had it renewed earlier this year because without it I would not have been able to get my drivers license.

Yesterday as I was driving Conner to basketball practice he was eating some animal crackers when his first loose tooth fell out. He was so excited, it did not even bleed.

We are so excited that little Ronan James was born today. He is so cute, he was 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 21 inches long. Born at 9:10 AM in Hawaii. We feel so incredibly blessed to have two healthy and beautiful grandkids. I am sad that we weren't able to be there, but I was able to be on the phone for the 3 hours that Ashley was pushing and got to hear everything that went on in the birthing room.
