We went to the Madrid temple this morning. We ate lunch at La Casa del Abuelo. We walked around the Parque del Retiro. Did some shopping on La Gran Vía. Had chocolate and churros at Chocolatería San Ginés, really popular in Madrid. We walked a lot, over 17,000 steps!!!
We had lunch with our friends, Caryn and Matthew Grow who are serving a mission for our church here in Madrid. We went to el Museo del Prado. I was happy to finally see the painting of Las Meninas by Diego Velazquez. My mom had a copy of it hanging in our house. We walked around Madrid on La Gran Via which was closed to traffic and packed with people who came to celebrate Hispanidad 2025.
