Award ceremony and the 100th day of school

Today we went to Parker's school for the first Semester's award ceremony. We are very proud of Parker, he got 5 awards. He got the Principal Honor roll award for having a grade point average of 95.7, he got the Geography bee award for placing third place in the school wide geography bee, He got the perfect attendance certificate, he got the High Achievement Award which is the highest overall grade point average for 8th grade, and he got the American Mathematics Competitions First Place award, for getting first place in the American mathematics contest for 8th grade. He has crutches because he was playing football at mutual on Wednesday and fell on his hip. He could not walk on it on Thursday so I took him to the doctor and they had x-rays done. The doctor said he had a contusion.

Today was the 100th day of school and in Conner's class they had a little celebration with fun activities.

On a side note, today in the mail we got a letter addressed to Ken Griffey Jr. We did not realize that he has the same house number. Tomorrow we are going to take him his letter.

Congrats to Parker! I hope his hip heals quickly. That's awesome about Ken Griffey Jr! You'll have to tell me all about meeting him :)

Fun! And you must be getting so excited for the arrival of the new baby. It makes me nostalgic for the time when Isabella was born...sigh...can't believe how time goes by.
