On February 26th we had Abel Rodriguez and Ernesto "Tito" Malcolm as referees. Tito is from Panama and played professional basketball in Puerto Rico for the San German team. Off course I mentioned my uncle Carlos to him. I am very proud of my uncle and that he played professional basketball in Puerto Rico.

Mission friend
On February 20th we stopped at the Hunters Creek Ward building to drop off some flyers for the FSY, For the Strength of Youth, and we ran into Rolando Millares who served in the Trujillo mission with Brent.
Conner was accepted at BYU
On February 19th Conner got his acceptance email to BYU. We are very proud of and so happy and excited for him.
Making cinnamon rolls with Conner
On February 18th Conner had fun making cinnamon rolls. His first time. He had a hard time touching the flour and wanted to wash his hands right away but I’m glad he was willing to get his hands dirty.
Conner played the piano at a Stake Youth Fireside
On February 13th they had a Stake Youth Fireside and Conner was asked to play the opening and closing hymns. It was his first time doing this so he was nervous but he did a great job. We are so proud of him.
Basketball at the church
On February 12th I was at Conner's basketball game, he is number 14 in the picture. I heard the referees speaking Spanish with a Puertorrican accent. Since I am very curious I went to talk to them. The one next to me in the picture is Tony Diaz who played professional basketball for the Rio Piedras team from 1976-1984. The other ref is Abel Rodriguez and they are some of the best referees we have that help ref the church's games. They both remembered my uncle Carlos "Pescao" Sotomayor who also played professional basketball in Puerto Rico for the Ponce team.

Magic Kingdom date
Conner had an activity with the Lake Crescent Ward youth. They went to Magic Kingdom so we decided to have a date at Magic Kingdom while he had fun with his friends and cousin Josh. Brad and Shari are in that Ward and so the Bishop loves to invite Conner to go to their activities since Conner knows all the kids in the Ward. We had a great time and then at the end we met up with Conner at the exit of the park. We had dinner, watched the fireworks went on a couple of rides and we just had a great time.
