Conner submitted his application to BYU

On October 29th Conner submitted his application to BYU-Provo. He was already accepted to BYU-Idaho. I can't believe that my baby is getting ready to attend college. Seeing him go will be hard on me but I am excited for him.

Halloween 2021 - last one for Conner at home before he graduates from High School

Last Halloween before he graduates from High School. It is hard to believe that this is Conner's last Halloween at home. Here is a picture with Brother Sergio Rivas at the Trunk or Treat. The other two are from Halloween. He went trick or treating with Drew at their neighborhood in Summerport and collected 6 pounds of candy.

Mold in our air conditioner

I haven’t talked about this but I think I should in case someone needs to read it. This is part of a mold test I had done. I’m experiencing exhaustion, brain fog, it feels like my brain is not balanced (very weird feeling), stabbing in my brain, can’t think straight, can’t concentrate, can’t read and comprehend. I went to a functional doctor who did all kinds of labs. This one is Chaetoglobosin A mycotoxins found in my body. As I type this I can barely keep my eyes opened and think because I’m so exhausted. This happens a lot, not every day but a lot. We had our home tested because this type comes from water damaged buildings. Lo and behold it’s coming through our air conditioner which is full of mold. Please check your home. This can cause neurological damage. I am praying I can feel better soon!

Clearwater beach day

We had a fun day at Clearwater beach on Saturday, October 23rd.

Super excited about my Sotomayor article in the Genealogy magazine - Hereditas

I am a member of the Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Genealogia. This year I submitted an article about my Sotomayor family tree and it was accepted. I feel honored that they accepted my humble article. There are many other authors that publish a lot of articles in this bimonthly magazine, who have PHDs and are historians and I am just a regular person who loves genealogy.

In August I went to Puerto Rico

In August I went to Puerto Rico. I was able to go to my (tio Willie) uncle Guillermo Sotomayor's funeral. He died in 2020 but because of the travel bans due to the Corona virus no one could go to PR.

My aunt Aida.

Next to me is my uncle Vicente Sotomayor (tio Tito) and next to him is his cousin Enrique (Ciquillo) Sotomayor.

The Sotomayor cousins. Guillermo, Luis, Jose, me, Jerry, Vicente and Pedro.

My aunt Aida and Pedro, next to him is Jerry.

I was also able to go to my tio Carlos Sotomayor's memorial at the Sport Hall of Fame in Ponce.

Chita is one of my tio carlos' best friend but she also was my hair stylist when I was in elementary school. My mom would take me to her salon which was in her house.

My friend Taili Colon came to visit me. We have known each other since kindergarten.

My brother took me to a restaurant in Maunabo.

My brother, Saby and I at church on Sunday.

We also visited my uncle Bernardino Perez (Ninin). My aunt Aida Gonzalez (my dad's sister) passed away so we went to visit him and my cousins. This is the view from his penthouse.
