First day of Seminary and School 2021

My Senior!!! Class of 2022!!! From kindergarten to 12th grade!! How the time flew by in what seems like an instant. Have an amazing year Conner!! At his school today they had a huge welcome for the Seniors, with signs that read “last first day” and a big balloon arch for them to walk through. There was too much traffic and I couldn’t park and take pictures but it was really nice.

On August 10th was Conner's first day of Seminary. His las first day of Seminary.

On August 11th was his first day of 12th grade. His last first day of High School.

This was his first day of Kindergarten 2009

Conner's Senior pictures

On July 2st: Yesterday I bought Conner’s school uniforms. I can’t believe he’s a senior this year. Being that he is my 5th and last child this is the last time I will buy school clothes for my children, the last school year, the last year of early morning seminary, the last year of driving to and from school, the last year of meeting with teachers at the beginning of the school year to talk about Conner’s needs, and so many other last things for our family. I knew this day would come some day but here we are, we blinked and it happened. From our daughter Ashley who started Kindergarten in 1991 and our 4 other kids in between to now, 2021 the last year of school for Conner, it has been 30 years of schooling for our kids and that’s not counting college. I am going to enjoy every minute of this last year with Conner and welcome the new stage in our lives with Brent by my side. I will be happy and make the best of it.

On July 23rd Conner had his Senior pictures done!! I can't believe he is a Senior in High School!! Please stop the time!! My baby is growing up too fast!! :(

Back in Utah - July 15th - 18th

Ryan and Sierra got married in the Provo City Temple on July 16th. We flew back to Utah to be at the wedding. It was fun to be there. She is our Bishop Stewart's niece. Her name is Sierra Stewart and her dad is our bishop's brother. Conner had fun to be there with the his friend Gage Stewart, our Bishop's son.

The beautiful couple

After the wedding and before the reception we went to help Parker and Katie move into there new apartment which was just across the hall from their previous apartment. Julie came to help and it was fun catching up with her.

On Saturday Nora was brave and had her ears pierced.

While we were walking to the store in the mall where Nora was having her ears pierced I saw sitting on a bench almost in front of the store, Sister Elba Peña, Julie's mom. It was a huge coincidence that I had just seen Julie the day before. It was fun catching up with Elba too.

We celebrated Henry's first birthday while we were in Utah. He is super cute!!

The kids having fun with aunt Katie

Tinci, Niurka and Michael came to see us

We had a wonderful Sunday. Ronan gave a talk in Primary at church and we were there to see him give his talk. Also Will is going on a mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we were able to go. We feel blessed that we were able to be in Utah at this time.

Trujillo mission friends get together - July 3rd

It was great to get together with mission friends at Eddy Morillo's home with Orlando Handa and Trent Westover. It is always great to remember the wonderful time we had together serving in the Peru Trujillo mission. We wish we could do it more often.

Crazy coincidence

What a small world! On our drive back up to the Provo area from our family reunion in St George, we stopped in Cedar City to take pictures of the temple. After that we went to Cafe Rio to grab lunch. As we were walking out of Cafe Rio we ran into Dioni and her family! Dioni was on her way up to Salt Lake from California! We had not seen each other probably since 1988.

Hanson Family Reunion in Santa Clara, Utah - June 27th - July 2nd

Fun day learning about family history. We went to New Harmony where we visited the cemetery where Brent’s grandma Kochevar is buried along with his great-great grandparents and many other family members. We visited the house where she was born, the barn that Brent’s great-grandpa Prince built which was next to the house his grandmother was born in. We also visited the house grandma Kochevar used to live in for many years. Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting Ann Dunn Bingham who is Brent’s grandma Hanson’s cousin.

Conner was having so much fun with his cousins that I could not get a picture with him.
