Meet your teacher day

Conner's new teacher is Mr. Simms. He was born in Jamaica but raised in the US. He is very nice and friendly. I think it is going to be a good year for Conner.

This is Thomas, Conner's friend. They were together in pre-school and now they have the same teacher in 2nd grade. They are excited to be in the same class this year.

Last week's events

Conner at our Ward's playgroup activity.

The Olvera's invited us for dinner on Friday. Here is Conner playing with Anthony.

Bro. Olvera in the white t-shirt is a Chef for the Gaylord Palms resort in Orlando. The dinner was awesome and I learned a few things about cooking.

Conner's last basketball game of the season.

Great advice for bliss in marriages of all ages

1. If you think she's beautiful, tell her.
2. Make dinner together, eat dinner together, go to bed together.
3.Your fantasy life should revolve around your wife, not your football team.
4.Life is short, say "I love you" at least once every day.
5.The more time you spend trying to change your spouse, the less time you have for improving yourself.
6.Write this into your wedding vows: "I will promise to faithfully replace the toilet paper whenever I use the last of it."
7.Do things together. Do things apart.
8. Career, personal goals and family are important, but nothing is more important than your relationship.
9.If you've truly forgiven your spouse for something, you'll never bring it up again.
10. Be spontaneously ridiculous and unabashedly silly. Make your spouse laugh. It nourishes the soul.
11. Say, "What can I do for you honey?"
12.He is not a mind reader. If you want him to know what you're feeling, tell him.
13.If you make your kids the center of your universe, there's going to be one massive black hole when they finally grow up and leave.
14. If you always have to win the argument, you'll eventually lose the relationship.
15. Only if she asks:"No honey, that dress isn't very flattering."(Not, "It makes you look fat.")
16. Find someone to talk to about marriage, but never talk your spouse down to anyone.
17.She's your wife, not your mommy. Clean up after yourself.
18.Create your own holiday traditions.
19.Just because you now where someone's buttons are doesn't mean you have to push them.
20.And finally, to keep your marriage brimming with love, whenever you're wrong, admit it, whenever you are right, shut up.
