Conner's mission call
On Tuesday April 4th Conner received his mission call. He has been called to the California San Bernardino Mission!! Spanish Speaking!!! Starts on August 14, 2023. We are so happy, excited and proud of him!!
Utah
I went to Utah last week ( first week of April, from April 1-8th) Conner was expecting his mission call on Tuesday the 4th so I flew out to see him open up his calling. On Monday I went for a walk and it was so beautiful.
We had a blizzard on Monday night. We woke up on Tuesday, April 4th to a ton of snow on the ground. Parker used the snow blower to clear out part of the driveway so he could go to work. I enjoy using the snow blower so I finished the rest of the driveway plus the walkway to the front door.
On Monday I went to Costco to buy chocolate chip cookies for Conner's mission call opening day. It is always fun to see Aofia Mauigoa working at Costco in Lehi. Many years ago we were in the Hunters Creek Ward together here in Orlando.

Wedding
Yesterday we went to Erica Marsel's (our neighbor's daughter) wedding. It was a Jewish wedding. It was a very impressive wedding at the Waldorf Astoria here in Orlando. Parker and Katie came from Utah to attend the wedding.
Brent's birthday
We celebrated Brent's 57th birthday a few days early, on Sunday the 19th. Parker and Katie were here for our neighbor's wedding and I invited Shari and the boys. Happy Birthday Brent!!!! We love you tons!
The Canary Islands book
I finally got in the mail the book I ordered from the Puertorrican genealogical society. I marked all my ancestors on the book with the pink posted notes. I have found 11 direct ancestors that came from many places in the Canary Islands. I am so excited about it. They came from La Orotava, Tenerife; Los Realejos, Tenerife; Guimar, Tenerife; Vilaflor, Tenerife and La Isla de Gran Canaria. My grandmother, MageƱa (my mom's mom) used to tell me that I was a descendant of Canarians but I never asked her about it. Now I understand what she meant.
