El Viejo San Juan- Puerto Rico Part 5

We visited el Viejo San Juan. Last year was the 500 anniversary of the city. We visited El Morro, we walked the beautiful cobblestone street of Old San Juan. We visited the old San Jose Church and The Cathedral of San Juan, where the tomb of the conquistador Juan Ponce de Leon is located. He is my ancestor. We visited the Puerta de San Juan and walked around outside el Morro's wall (Paseo el Morro), the view of the ocean was beautiful. We visited Fortaleza Street where the governor's mansion is. We ate at a nice restaurant a wonderful typical Christmas dinner just like I ate as a child, my mom and grandma were great cooks.

La Parguera- Puerto Rico Part 4

We went to La Parguera and on went on a boat tour to see the Bioluminescent bay. My cousin Vicente and his girlfriend Leslie and her daughter came to see us at La Parguera.

Ponce- Puerto Rico Part 3

We visited Ponce and took Shari and Brad to visit my brother and Saby, we went to the big cross on the hill (La Cruceta) to went up to the top to get a view of all of Ponce. We went to the Ponce Plaza and visited the cathedral, the old Fire Station and had the Kings ice cream.

San Juan temple tour - Puerto Rico Part 2

On December 9th we went in the morning to the temple open house. It is a very beautiful temple. It was amazing to see it inside.

Puerto Rico - Part 1

On December 8th we arrived in Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde, right next to the airport.

Genealogy

I had a genealogist who is an expert in Puertorrican genealogy, go through my tree and make sure things were good. He also has a big database so he added more people to my tree. He gave me this framed family tree with pictures.
