Nauvoo, Illinois

On April 26th we visited Nauvoo. It was a wonderful experience to show Conner his 4th great grandfather Simeon Adams Dunn’s home in Nauvoo. We visited the Seventies Hall. Simeon Adams Dunn was ordained a Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Also Brent’s 4th great grandfather William Franklin Pace (Conner’s 5th great grandfather) was ordained a Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the second floor of the Seventies Hall they keep records of the Seventies. We found both of them in the book. Brent and Conner signed another book with their names and the names of their ancestors who were Seventies. What a wonderful experience. Simeon Adams Dunn is well known in Nauvoo and during the carriage tour ride they pass by his house and tell his story. This time they asked us to tell his story!! So fun!!! We also visited the temple and Conner baptized 10 of my family members.

Carthage Jail

On the morning of April 26th we visited Carthage jail in Carthage, Illinois. On June 27, 1844 a mob killed Joseph Smith in Carthage jail. It was an amazing experience to visit and listen to the missionaries. We were touched by the spirit!!

Troy Waters

Bronson's father Troy passed away on April 22, 2019 he was only 55 years old. Here is his obituary.

Troy Waters unexpectedly passed from this life on April 22, 2019. Troy was larger than life and there was no one who ever met him who didn't love him. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coach, friend, the person to know if you needed anything and the person who seemed to know everyone. He was always helping someone and would give you his last dime if that meant he could make your burden even a bit lighter. He was the life of the party and had a smart aleck comment for every occasion. He was the most loving person and had the ability to make you feel like you were his best friend even if you just met. You always found him with a smile on his face and a baby in his arms. He worked hard and played harder. He loved hunting, football, softball, racketball, and coaching just about every sport and kids he got to coach, among numerous other things.

Troy leaves behind his amazing wife Janet Gerhauser Waters; daughter Shanna (Douglas) Broadstreet, sons Bronson (Brittany) Waters and Austin (Jessica Barber) Waters; grandchildren Brinley Waters, Reagan Waters, Cooper Waters, Jackson Broadstreet, Annaleigh Broadstreet, Denver Waters, Adaline Waters, Lennon Waters, and Alyse Broadstreet; sisters Ramona (Don) Douberley and Sheila (Ron) Towns; brothers Glen (Lori) Waters, Wendell Waters, and David (Brandi) Waters; mother Vivian Welch Waters; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
